were i an aging rock type i might call this a lost song. i had literally lost the notebook i'd written the words in (mid '99?). as you may now have guessed, i found it again. the tune was always there but the one they call john slowed the groove to a pick. furthermore he fretted over that bass and someone under heavy bob influence sat on a bench in the rain and played harmonica.
